History
ABC Buses began as Faribault Bus Company when Clancy Cornell bought the company as a short route transit service in Faribault, Minnesota. ABC Buses became the new company name in 1972 with the focus being used ABC buses for sale and used ABC buses service. In 1974 ABC buses started to support the leasing of used ABC buses. From 1975 to 1999 ABC Buses again expanded by adding four additional ABC Buses facilities in California, New Jersey, Texas and Florida. In 1987, a belgian company by the name of Vanhool became partners with ABC Buses. The two firms united and made an exclusive contract that made ABC Buses the sole distributor of Vanhool buses in the United States. In 1999, ABC Buses launched their first web site. In 2001 ABC Buses consolidated all their operating subsidiaries under one new company: ABC Companies. Some of the newer enhancements to their online presence for new and used ABC buses for sale include 24/7 customer access to parts ordering via E-Commerce, financing requests, and Vanhool buses service bulletins.

- 2002 - A330 - Shape of new transit buses debut - APTA Expo with Vanhool buses and AC Transit
- 2002 - Vanhool A330 named International Bus of the Year at FIAA Trade Exhibition in Madrid
- 2003 - A330 and AG300 placed into service with AC Transit. Passengers laud new designs
- 2004 - New models for T2100 and C2000 with newest motorcoach technology implemented
- 2004 - ABC Buses adds ZF AS Tronic 12 speed transmission and integrated driveline ZF intarder as a standard feature on the C2045 and T2145 models for the US Market.
- 2004 - ABC Buses Companies, NV, General Coach America, Caterpillar and Vanhool unveil CAT engine upgrade on Vanhool C2000 and M1000 series buses.
- 2005 - ABC Buses Companies, AC Transit, and Vanhool introduce the industry standard setting 30' Vanhool 300K to 16,000 transit industry professionals in Dallas, TX
- 2005 - AC Transit, Vanhool, ABC Buses Companies and other American companies and public agencies debut hybrid-electric hydrogen fuel cell bus at APTA Expo
- 2006 - Enhanced 2007 model 2045E unveiled at ABC Buses locations which features new styling lines plus interior enhancements and improvements.
- 2006 - 2007 model midsized M1235 debuted at ABC Buses locations with more contemporary look, longer wheelbase, and many functional and performance upgrades
- 2007 - ABC, Thor Industries Commercial Bus Division, and General Coach America debut new model 3035 RE. This 35' rear-engine model bus allows for a wider array of fleet applications
- 2007 - 2008 Vanhool TD925 double deck tourbus adapted for U.S. use. While meeting the 2007 standard of lower level emissions, the TD925 offers many luxuries and outstanding high-capacity seating
